Prompts should be auto-saved and preserved when a network disruption occurs

I was in the middle of drafting a detailed prompt when Chief showed an “offline” banner. I submitted it, but it wasn’t processed, and my input was lost when the session ended.

There didn’t seem to be any way to recover the work or retry the request once connectivity was restored, so the prompt was lost with no recovery option.

What I think would help:

  • Prompts could be automatically saved as drafts locally, so work isn’t lost during temporary network issues

  • If a submission fails due to connectivity, the request could be retained or retried once the connection is restored

  • At a minimum, the prompt should remain in the input field so it can be easily resubmitted

Overall, the goal is to ensure work in progress isn’t lost due to brief connectivity interruptions.
